Residents of Hudson Bay and area attend Passport Clinic

For immediate release

OTTAWA — Several dozen residents of Hudson Bay and area took time out of their weekend to attend a passport clinic hosted by Cathay Wagantall, Member of Parliament for Yorkton—Melville.

Held Saturday at the Hudson Bay town office, Wagantall and her staff assisted constituents with their first-time, renewal, and child passport applications. The required photos were taken by a professional photographer on-site.

“I am happy to provide this service for my constituents, many of whom live a long distance from a Service Canada location,” said Wagantall.

“Many have remarked to me about the convenience of this one-stop shop.”

Wagantall returned to Ottawa with the completed applications and will submit them directly to the Passport Canada program. She noted that this will reduce the processing time for her constituents, many of whom have made travel plans for the coming months.

Saturday’s passport clinic followed one held earlier in the week in Melville. That clinic was also well attended.

“I would like to thank constituents for their interest and enthusiasm in taking advantage of this opportunity,” added Wagantall.

“It is my pleasure to serve you.”
